My I’MPossible Dream
My journey through the Autism spectrum
I am Alex Hale. I am twenty-three years old and was diagnosed at age six with Asperger’s Syndrome. My parents were given the standard prognosis of the time, limited developmental potential, life-long dependency and minimal hope for social assimilation or economic achievement. Today, I am a high school graduate, mere credits away from a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, I am a frequent guest commentator on ESPN Radio, using my encyclopedic sports knowledge, I have good friends and a loving family, I hold jobs to help support myself and my education, I am on the board of Autism Speaks® and act as a knowing spokesman to bring awareness and encouragement to others touched by the spectrum, and I sing. I found my voice at an early age and I have sung in school and community productions, at sporting events and in front of 17,000 people at Soldier Field in Chicago. I have begun recording my own songs that reflect my very special and personal view of life, in the hope that my story will inspire others to seek their true potential. Please help me share my dream.
If you are interested in my initiative please consider being a corporate sponsor. Your sponsorship will enable me to continue my mission sharing my story, speaking, mentoring and lending my vocals to support Autism Awareness.
